We have adopted the Swim England safeguarding policies and procedures as detailed in Wavepower: Swim England's safeguarding policy and procedures. This is the framework we will follow in any safeguarding matters.
SAFEGUARDING
In the first instance, if a child or adult has any concern regarding child safety, please make immediate contact with our Welfare Officer, Kelly Clarke.

Swim England provide advice on how to report a concern. You can find more information on that specifically here.
For any ‘out of the ordinary’ incidents, the following report is to be completed by a member of the coaching team: Coaches Incident Report Form
- NSPCC: The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children has a Child Protection Helpline (0808 800 5000) and a Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU).
- Swim England: For advice on who to contact.

Local Authorities: Each local authority has a safeguarding team and a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) who can be contacted for concerns about a child's safety.
- Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH): These hubs bring together different agencies (police, social services, etc.) to coordinate responses to safeguarding concerns.
- Childline: A helpline for children and young people in need of support (0800 1111).
