First Splash Gala of 2024 It was a fabulous afternoon at the first Splash Gala of 2024. Great to see some new faces joining our younger swimmers, as everyone participated in a packed agenda of races. Lots of smiling, a rapidly growing Conga, dancing on the blocks, were all on the cards, as well as some fabulous racing. The lovely atmosphere really made everyone feel at home. Massive thank you as always goes to our senior swimmers who continued to be excellent role models, as well as being on hand...

With just over 6 weeks to go before running a full marathon, and months of training already under his belt, our senior coach has just completed a significant PB on a half marathon with ease! Continual improvement on the half marathon distance is the perfect stepping stone towards preparing for the big day. And the achievement will be worth it! Every pound raised will be spent on new and improved training equipment for Tring Swim Club. The Club has already built a solid reputation for swimmers in County and Regional...

Busy weekend!!! Three sessions on Saturday…three sessions on Sunday…and up to 40 swimmers poolside for each session! Massive thank you to all our poolside helpers. Swim England recently changed the supervision ratios so for this number of swimmers we needed 4/5 helpers poolside. Luckily, we had enough fantastic people to help this time, but if you could take part in future please get in touch. It’s just a short online course and DBS check that is required, and we’d rather everyone gets a turn rather than relying on a few....

Hello! My name is Harry, and I'm a Senior Coach at Tring Swimming Club (TSC). On the 26th May this year, I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise funds for new and improved training equipment for members of our club. TSC is a volunteer led, not-for-profit sports club with around 130 members. In 2024, we had our most successful County Championships in over 10 years, with our biggest ever qualifying team claiming 20 medals in total. This year, I want to help take our TSC athletes to the...

The 2024 Herts Major League is underway, and we’ve got off to a great start in Round 1. Team A competed in Hemel Hempstead, and finished 4th out of 6, in their first Division 1 competition following our promotion last season. An impressive start for the team, who are now swimming against the biggest clubs in Hertfordshire. Team B equally matched the impressive start, swimming over in St Albans, finishing 5th out of 8 in an extremely competitive field. Well done to every swimmer. And huge thanks to all the...

As we enter 2024, let’s take a moment to reflect on our achievements in 2023. Here’s a snapshot: Welcomed around 50 new members to our TSC team. Entered and took part in 3 Championships, 9 Open Meets and 9 Team Galas. The ONLY club to enter two teams into the Herts Major League. Promotion in both Herts Major League and Peanuts League, for the first time. First Winners Gala appearance in Division 2, London Division of the National Arena League. Club record of 31 swimmers accepted into 152 events in...

Tring Swimming Club was out in force last weekend for the BBATT gala. Sixty swimmers took part over the weekend aiming to secure PB’s and county championships times. Plus throughout the weekend, poolside regularly attracted around forty TSC swimmers providing support and encouragement for everyone else to get the times they were after. The Club regularly receives feedback that TSC swimmers were friendly and polite to everyone else, which is always great to hear, and this weekend was no exception! Massive credit to all our swimmers for being super helpful...

Another great afternoon at Arena League on Saturday. 4th place against some really top teams! Really impressive and another clear sign as to how much progress we are making as a club. Big thank you to all the swimmers, team managers, officials, coaches …. Again showing how far we have come in all areas! Some really tough swims and several swimmers had to dig deep and do some tough races for the team - hugely appreciated. Great to see their team meets at the end of the lane offering support!...
