Maxwell Open Meet, 2024

Busy weekend!!! 

Three sessions on Saturday…three sessions on Sunday…and up to 40 swimmers poolside for each session!  

Massive thank you to all our poolside helpers. Swim England recently changed the supervision ratios so for this number of swimmers we needed 4/5 helpers poolside. Luckily, we had enough fantastic people to help this time, but if you could take part in future please get in touch. It’s just a short online course and DBS check that is required, and we’d rather everyone gets a turn rather than relying on a few.

Thank you goes to two senior swimmers whose exemplary behaviour (and great swimming) over the weekend was a credit to themselves and the club, and which led to a special mention from Maxwell Swim Club.  Elliott and Tom, you should be very proud of yourselves.

As always, a big thank you to the coaches, our officials, swimmers, and Ruth and the team for sorting all the entries.

Great atmosphere on poolside, huge number of PBs, lots of swimmers at their first meet, loads of medals …. really good weekend! Very proud of everyone involved!
