First Splash Gala of 2024

It was a fabulous afternoon at the first Splash Gala of 2024.  Great to see some new faces joining our younger swimmers, as everyone participated in a packed agenda of races. Lots of smiling, a rapidly growing Conga, dancing on the blocks, were all on the cards, as well as some fabulous racing. The lovely atmosphere really made everyone feel at home.

Massive thank you as always goes to our senior swimmers who continued to be excellent role models, as well as being on hand to pass on the ‘tips and tricks of the trade’.  And also our superb support team: officials, fundraising team, recording/back office, Marshalls etc. etc. – always an impressive, relaxed, and organised team. Just a massive thank you to everyone involved.

The Splash Gala is a key event in Tring Swimming Club’s competition calendar. Not only providing many swimmers with their first taster of swimming competitively, it’s also a vital stepping stone in putting the all that hard-earned training into practice as well as building that infectious team spirit and support that Tring Swimming Club is known for.

Coming up next for the club is the 2024 Swim England East Region Long Course Championships, and the final round of Herts Major League.  Watch this space!
