Welcome two new members: Sue Warren and Nicky Grey.
Hats
Swimmers with longer hair must please wear hats during training. A reminder that CLUB hats must be worn for all galas and open meets.
Code of conduct
The Club has introduced a "Code of conduct" for coaches, swimmers and parents so that everyone knows what is expected in terms of behavioural standards. Please make sure that you are familiar with this code, click here to view the Code of conduct.
Trophies
Reminder to bring back all trophies by mid October. All new trophies with no name plate on to be returned ASAP as the committee would like to be consistent with the style of names and are offering to have the first engravings done.
What is a T20?
It is a timed swim over 20 minutes, hence T20, during which time the swimmer must complete as many lengths as they can. Groups 1 & 2 carry out a T10. The test measures the endurance levels of the swimmers and enables the club to organise training sessions with regard to groups and lane order.
Noticeboard
Please take time to look at the Club noticeboard every week for further information and on galas, team selections and other important events.
Learn how to swim faster.........
The key to improving your PB times, is to train your body to produce more energy and strength. Older swimmers (13+ years) will also need to train their bodies to remove lactic acid.
